Low-cost counselling at Swinburne Psychology Clinic
Swinburne alumni and members of the general public can access low-cost counselling services at the university’s Psychology Clinic.
Recently relocated to a purpose-built area in the new ‘George’ building on Wakefield Street at the Hawthorn campus, it boasts excellent state-of-the-art facilities, including:
- an increased number of counselling rooms
- an observation room
- a group therapy and training workshop room
- high-tech recording equipment
The Psychology Clinic offers low cost counselling for individuals, couples and families, with sessions starting at just $15 for low income earners. Services include psychological assessments and group therapy programs.
Established in 1990 to provide a range of low-cost psychological services to the community, Swinburne University Psychology Clinic is the largest university-based psychology clinic in Australia.
The effectiveness of the clinic’s services is continually assessed and programs are revised on an ongoing basis to ensure clients receive the best possible treatment.
