About Boat O’Craigo
Boat O’Craigo was founded in 2003 by Swinburne alumnus and entrepreneur Stephen Graham (Dip Civil Engineering, 1973), who named the vineyards in memory of his ancestors. The Graham farm on the Esk River in Craigo, Scotland, was also called Boat O'Craigo, gaining its name from the ferry boat the Grahams plied.
Boat O’Craigo comprises two distinct vineyards, with the Black Spur range of white wine grown in the high altitude 12-hectare site at Healesville, and the reds within the rich volcanic soils of Kangaroo Ground on the opposite side of the Yarra Valley.
Steve is a significant supporter of Swinburne University with a strong commitment to providing educational opportunities for young people, particularly giving a 'headstart' to students struggling with difficult circumstances. Steve also has a passion for leadership and was the founding benefactor for the Centre for Leadership and Public Interest at Swinburne. He is pleased to be able to provide this service that benefits both graduates and current students.
