Swinburne University has implemented Blackboard to provide:

bulletincreased flexibility in communicating with other students, lecturers and tutors;
bulletopportunities to undertake learning tasks and activities via discussion forums and quizzes;
bulletaccess to a variety of online content and resources;
bulletelectronic simulations and demonstrations to enhance learning; and
bulletdirect linking to library reserve articles and electronic journals and databases.

Students and lecturers can access these learning opportunities on-campus from computer laboratories and off-campus at a time, place and pace of their choice. Support for academics and students is provided by ADS .
