Tables
A data table is used to present data in a grid format, with columns and rows that show the relationships between the data in a logical manner. A table can be a fantastic element for a sighted student; however for students who require a screen reader, it can be less than helpful if not designed with accessibility in mind. A screen reader will read the table in a linear format. This means that it will read from left to right by rows, starting from the top row.
