Information for TAFE Students

TAFE students can study abroad during their Swinburne course, with many of the opportunities discipline specific.

Swinburne Abroad and TAFE can work with students to consider opportunities that suit individual cases.

International Exchange Program

Going on Exchange to study at a partner institution for a semester can be a very rewarding experience.

TAFE students who are completing a two year course, such as a Diploma or Advanced Diploma, may have the opportunity to incorporate a semester of Exchange into their studies.

While Exchange options for TAFE students are limited, the network of CCID consortium institutions may create more opportunities on a case-by-case basis.

Partner Institutions include:

  • VIA University College, Denmark
  • Okanagan College, Canada
  • Kirkwood Community College, USA
  • Swinburne Sarawak campus, Malaysia (an option particularly suitable for students who will continue into a Bachelor course)

Study Tours and Short-Term Programs

There are four TAFE-level Study Tours that are run by TAFE Schools. They are discipline-specific, tailored to suit students studying particular courses.

Programs currently include:
