Catherine Rojas, Swinburne Council

Catherine Rojas is a Coordinator, Curriculum and Quality in the Education and Quality Services team, business partner to the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology. She is the Vice-President (General Staff) for the Swinburne branch of the National Tertiary Education Union and a member of the NTEU Victorian Division and National Councils.

Catherine has a Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Teaching (Honours) from the University of Melbourne and taught at Mount Waverley Secondary College before joining Monash University as Administrative Assistant in 1999. Catherine joined Swinburne in 2008 as Manager, Projects for the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Sciences.

Catherine has supported a number of strategic initiatives at Swinburne. They include: the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology’s Blended Learning Project in 2015; the Electric Vehicle Research Group’s participation in the Victorian Government’s Electric Vehicle Trial and visit by the Minister for Roads and Public Transport in 2013; and the Engineers Australia Professional Accreditation of nine undergraduate engineering courses which won a team based Vice-Chancellor award for service excellence in 2013.
